{"id":2,"date":"2012-06-08T05:36:54","date_gmt":"2012-06-08T09:36:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/majoroutage.net\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2012-06-08T20:14:10","modified_gmt":"2012-06-09T00:14:10","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/majoroutage.net\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"My Raptor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, I guess this will be where I post info on my <a href=\"http:\/\/traxxas.com\/products\/models\/electric\/5806fordraptor\">Traxxas Ford F-150 SVT Raptor<\/a>, which is basically just a repackaged Slash 2WD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Video from one of my first runs, still bone stock:<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1aam7Rgg7qw\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pic as she sits now:<a href=\"http:\/\/majoroutage.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/cropped_100_0931.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"cropped_100_0931\" src=\"http:\/\/majoroutage.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/cropped_100_0931-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Upgrades to VXL Spec:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traxxas updated steering bellcranks (TRA6845) and bearings to go with it.<\/li>\n<li>Traxxas &#8220;Heavy Duty&#8221; drivelines (bought as separate pieces and assembled flipped from stock)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From what I can gather, the two above changes are the only mechanical differences between the Brushed and VXL models. The steering upgrade I would recommend to anyone that gets a Slash with the white plastic crap on it. The servo saver horn makes it ridiculously sloppy.<\/p>\n<p>Other upgrades, kinda divided by type:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pro-Line Chassis Saver<\/li>\n<li>RPM Front Skidplate and Bumper<\/li>\n<li>RPM Rear Skidplate,\u00a0 bumper mount, and Bumper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Traxxas Aluminum Ultra Shock Caps<\/li>\n<li>[Not installed yet] Traxxas &#8220;Titanium&#8221; shock shafts<\/li>\n<li>[Not installed yet] RPM Two-stage shock valves<\/li>\n<li>RPM Spring Cups<\/li>\n<li>Team Associated 30wt Silicone Shock Oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Pro-Line Badlands 2.0 M2 SC Tires<\/li>\n<li>RC4WD Shock Lightweight Beadlock Wheels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Traxxas PowerCell 5000mAh 7-cell NiMH battery pack (yeah&#8230;dont bother)<\/li>\n<li>Zippy FlightMax 5400mAh 2S2P 35C Hardcase LiPo battery pack<\/li>\n<li>GT Power X-Charger 606D Balancing Battery Charger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Planned future upgrades:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New springs are probably next. Feels like I need something a little stiffer, but not too much.
